Solving unique analytical challenges in mRNA-LNP bioprocessing with precise measurement methods

Determining mRNA concentration is critical for the development and manufacture of effective mRNA therapeutics - but ensuring accurate measurement poses a number of unique analytical challenges. This webinar will explore the practical application of advanced spectroscopic techniques for measuring mRNA concentration, particularly when encapsulated in LNPS. Key challenges addressed will include:

  • Sample measurement without dilution: high concentrations of encapsulated mRNA will saturate traditional spectrophotometers, requiring the user to dilute the sample
  • Concentration measurement in under one minute: Other analytical techniques for measuring encapsulated mRNA, such as Ribogreen or HPLC, can take several hours
  • More precise mRNA measurement: Multiple measurements of the same sample have been validated to be within 2% RSD, while other techniques can vary up to 10%.

Gain a detailed understanding of methodology applied, specific challenges encountered, and how these techniques can help to enhance the reliability of mRNA manufacturing. Additionally, potential future advancements in spectroscopic technologies for enhancing mRNA therapeutic development will be explored.

Attend this webinar to:

  • Explore the specific analytical challenges posed by mRNA-LNP therapies
  • Understand the role spectroscopy approaches can play in achieving precise mRNA concentration measurements, and how to improve upon existing methodologies
  • Review the development of a method that has been validated to address UV light scattering caused by LNP encapsulation
  • Assess how effective measurement techniques influence the quality and efficiency of biopharmaceutical manufacturing
